This is my first post to my blog and I thought I would write about something that is becoming a necessity for business nowadays, and that is Remote Desktop Software. In years past we would all use Microsoft's ® RDP and that worked fine and I might add, still does but RDP was sometimes hard for the average user to configure and setup. Then along came a much easier solution, the advent of web based remote desktop software like gotomypc and logmein. These are the two largest companies offering remote connection software and they both work basically the same. Here is how they work when you sign up for the service a small program is downloaded to your machine and connects your pc with the with your account on the server then when you are at the coffee shop or in an airport you log in to your account the server will create a secure connection to your remote computer which allows you to control it from any ware.
